4:15 pm - Top 10 “Musts” When Looking to Build or Remodel Your Home

Presented by: Jackie Gulig, Retired Builder and Amanda Kemmel, Eastern Ridge HBA

Looking to build a brand new home or remodel your existing home and unsure where to start? We’ve got your “Top 10” list of things you must consider before you begin!

5:00 pm - Are My Trees Healthy?

Presented by: Jonathan “Hawk” Koch, Stuart’s Landscaping & Garden Center

Trees in our area have become victim to many pest related issues, including emerald ash and borer. In this session, you will learn about the common pests that affect trees and how to prevent them.

6:00 pm - Studio L Dance Stage Show

Be captivated by the choreography of Studio L Dance in Lomira. Back by popular demand!

7:00pm - Must Have Plants For Your Landscape

Presented by: Chad Muche, The Plant Mentor, Stuart’s Landscape & Garden Center

New and old, Chad will share with you which plants to use around your house and in your yard. From sun to shade, big or small, find out which plants will work best for you.

Kid’s Zone (Booths 517 & 518)

Build a FREE Bird Feeder with Boy Scout Troop 740. (Kids 12 and under, while supplies lasts). Adults can build a feeder for a $10 donation to the Boy Scouts. Sponsored by Action Door Company and Luedtke Lumber in Lomira.

 

3 Sisters Workshop (Booths 507 & 508)

The latest craze is all about painting on rustic barn boards to create a personalized piece to hang in your space. 3 Sisters Workshop will be at SHE all weekend with a Make & Take project area. Activities are available for children and adults alike for $15 per project.

 

Potting Shed Raffle

The Eastern Ridge Home Builders Association will be selling raffle tickets to raise monies for the Joan M. Vande Castle Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are used to support students pursuing a trades related careers, of which we are currently experiencing a crisis level shortage. Tickets are available at the Home Builders Association Booth located in the main entry to the event.

Learn the new and current trends of safe home canning from a trusted source.

 

12:00 pm - Radon: The Invisible Killer

Presented by: Danielle Vollendorf, Fond du Lac County Health Department

Radon is a colorless, tasteless and odorless gas that can be found in homes and is an extreme danger to people all over the world. Learn about the dangers and how to effectively eliminate radon if your home is at risk.

Diving into the top three considerations of determining if you are in need of window and door replacements.

Bring in your furniture, china, glass, pottery, paintings and prints, jewelry, toys, dolls, clocks, hunting and fishing items, advertising, TV and more, There will be no evaluation of firearms or gemstones. Evaluations will be verbal only. All items assessed at the event are done so in an informal manner and such as, the appraiser makes no warranty, either expressed or implied, for the accuracy of the evaluation. Each year, Wisconsin has weather-related deaths. Winter storms, tornadoes, lightening and floods impact the state, causing death, injuries, and property damage. We cannot change the weather, but we can be better prepared informed when events do occur.

Too much clay is the main reason people in this area struggle with growing plants! Chad will explain why he believes Cotton Burr Compost is the BEST product to use to turn your soil into SUPER SOIL!
